COUNT VLAD’S DOMINIONS

Amazing January in terms of new releases! What a start of the year! Barely left me time to revisit some older stuff. As always the below five records are probably the most played by me during the month, excluding (almost) all the music I had to listen to in order to prepare my reviews or interviews for the Zine. I guess some albums might be missing – just to mention: the superb new albums by Phlebotomized, Flotsam and Jetsam, Imha Tarikat, Hecate Enthroned, Evergrey, Malist, which all appeared in my monthly top 10. And on top the tens of vinyls I bought…

Enjoy my In Rotation.

KHORS  – За межами тваринного (Beyond the Bestial) EP
December 2018, Ashen Dominion

My review says it all. 10/10. Listened through whole January, and continue…Fantastic atmospheric black metal

VEILBURNER – A Sire To The Ghouls Of Lunacy
December 2018, Transcending Obscurity

Released on 28 December (I’ll never stop surprising and wondering why), this is an absolutely mind-blowing record. Different, enjoyable, full of life, lunatic experiments and schizophrenic downspirals.

HELLRIPPER – Coagulating Darkness
April 2017, Independent

Already a fkn klassik!

SOILWORK – Verkligheten
January 2019, Nuclear Blast

Fantastic Soilwork record. The band is in ultra strong form, and Verkligheten was already claimed as their best album to date. It is definitely an non-UG record with its grand production and modern compositions.

SULPHUR AEON – The Scythe of Cosmic Chaos
December 2018, Vàn Records

Just can’t stop listening to this album. Atmosphere grandiose. Among the very best albums of 2018!
