Short Ones – IV – #UndergroundRecos

3 min read

Last week I made a special #ShortOnes dedicated to the Slovakian label Slovak Metal Army (here) and this week I decided to do a special one dedicated to the German label Dying Victims Productions. I remember when the person behind it started the label and I also remember reading the zine he had, Thrash Attack. I didn’t manage to had all but I have a few numbers. So…

I really hope you enjoy it. Check it.

Band: Bunker 66
Title: Beyond the Help of Prayers
Label: Dying Victims Productions
Release date: 30 April 2021
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

The band started with the first released in 2009 and till now a few splits, one EP, two compilations, one live album and four albums including this one. Moving inside the Speed Thrash Metal style with some Black Metal touches here and there, this Italian band releases a very good album. I returned many years back while listening to this album. Very good. You need to listen to this album.

Band: Insane
Title: Victims
Label: Dying Victims Productions
Release date: 30 April 2021
Country: Sweden
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Let us get in the time machine and return to the end of the 80s’ and listen to some good old fashion Thrash Metal? Well, if you are into that, let us go. I’m already inside the time machine. Before I started to listen to this album, I had the idea that I already heard this band. I was right, I remember listening to the “Interment Of Life” EP released by the Swedish label Bifrost Records. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the label to maintain the old Thrash Metal alive.

Band: Lucifuge
Title: Infernal Power
Label: Dying Victims Productions
Release date: 30 April 2021
Country: German
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

I’m going, to be honest… I saw many times the band name, the covers, other info about them on the net, but… Never had the listen. Shame on me. I have been losing such a good band. Damn. True. After some research, in the beginning, they were more Black Metal than they are now. At this moment the band is doing a mix. Black Thrash Metal and a very good one. Believe me. You need to check this one.

Band: Witchseeker
Title: Scene of the Wild
Label: Dying Victims Productions
Release date: 26 March 2021
Country: Singapore
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

To start. Are you into the Heavy Speed music style? No? Wait, I can’t listen. Still no. Seriously? Well, I think you should. At least with this band. Very damn good. Trust me. I’m not a big fan of this style, that is true but I know some bands and this one is one more that I must add to my list of good bands playing this music style. Check them.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
