Short Ones X #UndergroundRecos

2 min read

Hello there,

It’s time for one more #ShortOnes article. This time I decided to bring to you the following bands. That doesn’t mean, that were the ones I loved or liked more during this past week but, the ones I decided to write some lines for you. Hope you can enjoy it.

Band: Kriegere Wolf
Title: Blazing In A Purging Fire
Label: Black Ritval Records
Release date: 10 May 2021
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Bum… The mass destructive bomb was dropped… Oh yeah. Can you imagine Bathory mixed with Unleashed? Well, if you can, then you have one very good band playing Black Death Metal. Yes. Very good release. Even if sometimes the band looks more Death Metal than Black Metal. But… Only one intro and four songs? Cmonnnnnn… I want more.

Band: Thronum Vrondor
Title: Dies Tenebrosa Sicut Nox
Label: Immortal Frost Productions
Release date: 28 May 2021
Country: Belgium
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

After some research, this band started in 2007 (!?!?) releasing the first album and now the “Dies Tenebrosa Sicut Nox”, the fourth album. Between them, it was released in 2009, the second album, and in 2019 the third album. But… Only with the latest album, “Dies Tenebrosa Sicut Nox” I knew the band. And a very good album. Very good Black Metal in the vein of the second wave. Check them.

Band: Hedonihil
Title: II – Symptomatic
Label: Inverse Records
Release date: 14 May 2021
Country: Finland
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

One of the most amazing things in the world of music, in this case, in the world of Metal, is to find good bands. Well, I had lucky to find another one. This time one band from Finland. Even if this band is a side project from 3 members of Swallow the Sun and I hope they start to see it and not a side project but as a “real band”. Mainly Death Metal with some Black Metal touches here and there and many progressive feelings. I did enjoy it.

Band: Crucifixion Ritual
Title: Gouging the Eyes of Angelic Purity
Label: Invictus Productions
Release date: 14 May 2021
Country: ???
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

With that kind of cover, it only can be one thing. What? Did you said War Metal? Yeah. Bingo. And a very good one. Very raw, dirty, rotten, chaotic, like it must be and stay, to be honest. The persons behind the band made this demo a very good one and a must-have. For fans of Sadomator and Proclamation. Grab it.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
