Hello there,

And it’s Saturday… Well, I really hope you can enjoy your weekend well and you can enjoy it the best you can…

Hope you can enjoy my choices for today.

Band: Garden Of Eyes
Title: Bloodhammer
Label: Ancient Entity Records
Release date: 17 May 2021
Country: England
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

From England, I bring to you, one one-man band. And? Well, It’s not a Black Metal one, Is a Death Metal one, and what an EP. Very good. Unfortunately only two songs, that is the only thing I have to say against this release. Old school Death Metal so damn good. Check them.

Band: Oldskull
Title: Nether Hollow of No Return
Label: Inhuman Assault Productions
Release date: 15 May 2021
Country: Thailand
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Bummmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!! Bombs launched and devastation started. Damn. From the start till the last song, always on top. Really, there is no song I don’t like/love. This album is a very respectful and well-done “tribute” to the 90s’ Death Metal. FFO of Massacre, Bolt Thrower, Gorguts (Considered Dead album), etc. At least in my opinion. Check them.

Band: 30 immolated; 16 returned
Title: The Burial of the Dead – Excerpts from Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring (1913)
Label: Independent
Release date: 14 May 2021
Country: Canada
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Uh la la. Really. Uh la la. What a crazy, experimental, avant-garde, sometimes non-sense EP. But so damn good. I must say this right now, this is not for all, trust me. many persons will not even try to listen to it till the end of this EP. The mix, the changes of tempo, the way that the songs are made, sometimes looks that every musician is playing for itself and doesn’t make any sense, but, it really does. So damn good. Give a listen to. But now I have one little request. Please, put this EP in physical format and I will buy it.

Band: Disparaître
Title: Urchig
Label: Naturmacht Productions
Release date: 16 May 2021
Country: France
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

After two demos, finally one EP. Strange? Well, nowadays yes. Everyone is releasing albums or starting the music career with an album, it looks the bands or one-man bands are “forgetting” the old ways. Well, it has good and bad things. But… That will be another talk. Maybe one day I will talk about it. The band… Black metal till the bones and a very good one. The “icy” riffs but at the same time very “catchy” makes this EP a very good one. In my opinion, is on the path to the best Black Metal Ep of the year 2021. True. Listen to them.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
