#BAZUndergroundUpdates LXXXII

4 min read

It has been quite interesting so far to keep track of just how many installments our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Boatman have had so far of The Underground Updates, and if we are not mistaken, we believe that they are now doing their 83rd week!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

NYT LIV Last Friday, Danish alternative hardcore crew Nyt Liv released the track Mens livet forsvinder and an official video to go with it, created by guitarist Martin Goltermann, who is also responsible for all photography connected with the album Den døde Sol, set to be released this coming November 19th on vinyl, tape and digital formats via Indisciplinarian. Head on over here to watch the video, over here to check some tracks from the upcoming album, and over here of course to place your pre-order of the limited transparent orange cassette tape version as well as limited editions of orange and black splatter vinyls!

BLACK LION RECORDS Ah, our favorite, Black Lion Records continue to pile on us reasons to indulge! From October 18th until the end, October 31st, the label offers 25% off, including vinyl! Use the code halloweenkills and have a very happy Halloween from the Black Lion staff!

HPGD PRODUCTIONS Now, this is one thing you will definitely not want to have pass you by! Over 1000 distro items are in stock now and new items are added daily! Without giving too much away here, we suggest you head over here and see for yourself what exactly is going on, and we think you might be pleasantly surprised!

RAJA KIRIK Uganda’s Nyege Nyege Tapes are a label not generally dealing in metal, however the music they put out is pretty wild and unusual and if you’re interested in some intense, mind melting electronic madness you should check out Rampokan, the newly released album by Raja Kirik. Fans of industrial beats may find something to latch onto. The album is available on various formats including red vinyl. Check them out here and listen to the album.

EXSUL Death metal infused with a mysterious, occult flavour comes in the form of Exsul and Allegoresis, their second EP, out now on Caligari Records. Sounding like the sounds are belching out of a burning crypt, you can enjoy a preview of the EP here and choose from various formats including a limited CD.

THE OSSUARY Bari, Italy’s The Ossuary will be releasing Oltretomba, their third album, on Supreme Chao Records on November 12th. Drawing on magical and occult themes the album continues the band’s into progressive rock and doom metal. You can check out a preview track here and pre-order the album on various formats including a special, limited wooden box CD set.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
