#BAZUndergroundUpdates LXXXIX

As the end of the year continues to close in on us, our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Boatman grow ever impatient to close this year with a bang and hopefully start a new one filled with live shows, concerts and normal behaviour that we haven’t seen in such a long time. But until then…

So let’s see what’s out there!

NGINE KID A loving tribute to Houston Rap/SLAB (slow, loud and banging) culture, we can now indulge in Engine Kid´s new video to Burban on Bladez which you can check out over here, and of course you have to head over here to place your order for the flexi-disc which will be shipped out in about a month!

BENEATH THE RUIN Last Saturday Liverpool-based prog metal 6- piece Beneath the Ruin unveiled a video for their new single Uprising, which is the group´s second single, following their debut release Atlas. See the fabulous video right here!

HUNTSMEN Should you be so lucky to be living (or happen to be in) UK and Europe during next April and May of 2022, be sure to mark your calendar as Huntsmen along with Wolftooth have announced a month-long tour! Some dates have been given out, and more dates will be announced later as time draws closer! In the meanwhile, check out Huntsmen´s Bandcamp page for further info and some delicious merch!

SARIN Stoked to share their live performance of Leave Your Body, Sarin now prepares to finally hit the stage once again and you can see this performance over here, which was in front of a sold out crowd of 50.000 birds, squirrels and chipmunks!

BLACK LION RECORDS Now the label has really dunnit. To end the year with a bang, Black Lion Records is offering us a whooping 55% off of everything! Simply head over here and use the code blacklion55 in order to help the label clear out and make room for the new year!

DOODSWENS If you’re looking for some harsh, vicious black metal to rip the skin off your face you may fancy stepping into the world of Duth duo Doodswens with their newly released offering Lichtvrees on Svart Records. You can listen to the album in full here and buy a digital copy.

REEK Swedish death n’ roll merchants Reek will release their second album P..n For Sa..n (the follow up to last year’s Death is Something there Between), on Mexico’s Iron Blood and Death Corporation on December 15th. There are two rip roaring preview tracks you can listen to here where you can also pre-order the album on limited CD.

WHITE WARD The excellent Ukrainian atmospheric black metal group White Ward have announced the incoming release of a new limited vinyl version of their 2017 album Futility Report, due on January 28th. You can listen to the album in full here (where there are several other currently available editions) and pre-order the vinyl. You can also check out the print on demand t-shirts the band has for sale coinciding with the album.

HYPERDONTIA Featuring talent from a number of notable extreme metal acts, such as Sulphurous, Hyperdontia released their second full-length record Hideous Entity last month. The band also has a whole load of merch that you can peruse at your leisure here on the band’s official webstore. There are all sorts of goodies here including t-shirts, hoodies, metal pins and patches (as well as various formats of the band’s releases).

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
