Another Tuesday, another installment of The Underground Updates!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

MANTAR A new video is now available for us to watch, taken from Mantar´s brand new upcoming album Pain in Forever and This is the End! Well, aren’t they a bright ray of sunshine? Head over here to check out the video to the track Hang ´Em Low after which you can head over here to place a pre-order via Bandcamp or get a physical copy!

VELNIAS Embarking on their European tour with Panzerfaust, Velnias has made available to us the official video for the track Supernal Emergent so make sure not to let the link pass you by to see it right over here, and of course check out this page for further information on dates and tickets for the tour!

DUNKELHEIT PRODUKTIONEN Just a reminded, Dunkelheit Produktionen still have their final big sale of the year going on, which offers a whooping 40% off all articles in the shop as well as all customers will receive an exclusive supporter´s button! It’s now or never, right? So, head over here for some goodies!

FRIGHT Philadelphia’s HPGD have just put out the debut, self-titled album by Fright. Formed in 2020, Fright blend punk, 80s thrash and 90s crust. If that sounds like your cup of dirty, rancid tea, click the link here to listen to the album in full, buy a copy, and maybe get a t-shirt too. After all, musicians have to eat too.

HELL The first three eponymous albums from Salem’s excellent funeral doom project Hell are all getting vinyl reissues, courtesy of Throne Records, due for release in May. Unless you were lightning quick in checking your email notifications you were too slow for the collector’s editions, which are all sold out. However, fear not, the regular vinyl versions can all still be pre-ordered here.

MANKIND GRIEF A new record being released on Lacerated Enemy Records can mean only one thing, and that’s absolutely rabid death metal. The label’s latest announcement certainly fits that description. Monarch, the new album by Barcelon’s Mankind Grief, has one preview track available to listen to here and if the rest of the album sounds like this, listeners are in for a wild ride. If you like what you hear you can pre-order the album on CD, vinyl and a bunch of bundle versions including some lovely merch.

SCALPTURE For death metal heads, specifically fans of Asphyx, Bolt Thrower or Hail Of Bullets, Germany’s Scalpture have just put out their latest album Feldwärts, on FDA-Records. To say this album sounds aggressive would be a slight understatement, as it sounds like the band is ready to throttle the listener from the word go. The album continues with the theme of the band’s previous record, namely the horrors of WWI. You can listen and get yourself a copy here.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
