#ShortOnes LIX #UndergroundRecos

2 min read

Hello there,

Another week, another #ShortOnes and I do this with a lot of pleasure. Many releases I heard, much more I will listen to, and of course, many will not. No time for everything, unfortunately. I try my best…

Anyway… Here it goes my few recos…

Band: Assumption
Title: Haeden Tides
Label: Everlasting Spew Records
Release date: 20 May 2022
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

To start I have to say this. If you are a Doom/Death Metal fan, well this is for you. Amazing album. Well done, very obscure, dark, sick, morbid, and heavy. The cadence of the songs is contagious and the slow body movements feeling those riffs/songs are felt in a sick way, but good. But the album is not only made of Doom parts but also a very good Death Metal with many many high moments. I advise this album.
A LOT.

Band: Gramma Vedetta
Title: The Hum of The Machine
Label: Independent
Release date: 27 May 2022
Country: England
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Well… This is not metal. And so what? The band is very very good. What does the band play? Hmmmm… To me sound like a mix of Stoner Rock, Blues, Prog music, Rock, Fuzz, and Hard Rock. A lot of things? Yes. And so what? It’s good. Very good to be more sincere. What you are waiting for? Go and listen to their music.

Band: Helsótt
Title: Will and the Witch
Label: M-Theory Audio
Release date: 20 May 2022
Country: USA
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Hmmm… You know that feeling that you already listen to one band but you don’t know where or when? Well, that is the sensation I have with this band. The band is moving inside the Death Metal style but… With folk influences. Not new of course, but it’s well done, that I can say. Sometimes it looks like Skyclad playing here and there but much heavier. Check it.

Band: Kaleidobolt
Title: Will and the Witch
Label: Svart Records
Release date: 20 May 2022
Country: Finland
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

I traveled to the 70s’. Yep. Very good. The songs, the atmosphere, the riffs, and the vibes felt while listening to the music. Damn. Felt good. If you want to listen to something outside the METAL world and enjoy very good music. Check this Finnish band.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
