TISHINA If you are seeking a soundtrack for a dark, mournful night — one that still packs a big metal punch — Uvod… might be just the tonic. The debut album by melodic death/ doom group Tishina isout now on Hypnotic Dirge Records. The band themselves list Saturnus, October Tide, Mourning Beloveth and Doom:VS as influences. Check out the album here — where you can pick up a CD copy, or a digital copy at name your price.

HASEROT Some releases don’t waste a second in laying out their intent. Throne of Malice— the new 5-track EP by Texas’ Haserot — makes it very clear from the first notes that this group is wielding tools to pound you into the dust. This is some very heavy death metal indeed, invoking greats of the genre like Immolation, Deicide and Morbid Angel. You can listen to the album in full — and grab a copy from Redefining Darkness Records here.

SHED THE SKIN Cleveland, Ohio’s Shed The Skin may be indicating a reinvention on their latest album — Thaumogenesis, out now on Hells Headbangers but it could also be said of this release that it’s built to peel the skin right off your face. Oh what absolutely full-throttle death metal riffing is on display here. This is the stuff to run through a field of raining fire to.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder. While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative. So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
