#ShortOnes LXIII #UndergroundRecos

Hello there,

Another week is gone and once more with a lot of pleasure here I’m talking again about our beloved music. But this week was very different from the past ones. I only heard one album that is out this month. I was listening… Some oldies, some not so old, releases from the previous year, with 2, 3, 4, or 5 years old. Some I already knew and was visiting again, others only the single(s) released, some good releases, others not so really, others very interesting, others quite normal, some I bought, others, cause of the fckg prices and the HUGE postage, especially in the vinyl, just said… “No way, I like the band, but this price is insane”. That reminds me of one talk I had once with a friend and the price of the vinyl. I said I could understand one edition of 100 copies and the price could be 20 euros, but one edition of 300 copies paying 20, 21 or 22 euros? No way man. (BTW, both bands are underground, not mainstream). Anyway… But that is another talk… So I will put some of the stuff I had listen to during this week…

Check my few recos…

Band: Runespell
Title: Sentinels of Time
Label: Iron Bonehead Productions
Release date: 01 June 2022
Country: Australia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

I have been following this band since the first album and I continue to advise it. Yes, there are releases better than others but can you tell me one band that ALL releases are very good or good? There are always one or two (or more, depending, on how many years the band exists or how many releases made till today) not so good. But let me talk about this release. Unfortunately, is just an EP. I want more. The 4 tracks present in this release are so damn good. Check it…

Band: Hirveä
Title: Tuska ja pakokauhu
Label: Dying Sun Records
Release date: 13 June 2019
Country: Finland
Format reviewed: Tape

This band is a journey into decadence, into agony, repetitive riffs, and nonsense music too sometimes. Basically and mainly the band is moving inside the Doom Metal with some effects, and strange noises/sounds. But with long songs… In this part, we can add the Drone. If you are into this kind of music I advise this band. Unfortunately, this is the only album. Besides this album, 2 previous demos are available (1 long song each).

Band: Nihilistinen Barbaarisuus
Title: The Child Must Die
Label: Infernal Kommando Records
Release date: 15 April 2015
Country: USA
Format reviewed: Digipack

Are you into Atmospheric Black Metal and sometimes reminding Limbonic Art? If yes, well, grab this album. I really enjoy it and was visiting it again. This album is very well done, the band members managed to create one album perfectly (a strong word I know). Unfortunately, the band split up. Check them.

Band: Serpent Obscene
Title: Chaos Reign Supreme
Label: War Anthem Records
Release date: May 2006
Country: Sweden
Format reviewed: LP

Many people don’t know this amazing band. Well, the band didn’t exist much time too. But they released 2 demos and 3 albums. For the ones who don’t know the band they played a good mix of Death Thrash Metal. If this is the best album of them? Can’t tell you… I LOVE 3 albums. Check them if you don’t know this band.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
