Hello there,

Here I’m again giving you some recos. September started with very good releases, and I admit that the “listen to” list is quite big. Had the pleasure to listen to a lot of music, and many more I would love to listen to, but unfortunately, time is not always on my side. Meh. Anyway, hope you can enjoy my recos.

Check my few recos…

Band: Deformatory
Title: Harbinger
Label: Independent
Release date: 13 September 2022
Country: Canada
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Uh, la la. What a piece of brutality. Yes. Only 4 songs, true that, short release, but very good. Technical Death Metal or should I say Brutal Death Metal… Hmmm… Anyway, this ep, is very good, very well constructed, very good riffs passages, some groove in the middle of the songs, but never losing the “weight” of the songs, and… Real brutality from the first second till the last second. Give them a try. (Only a teaser available atm)

Band: Ensanguinate
Title: Eldritch Anatomy
Label: Emanzipation Productions
Release date: 02 September 2022
Country: Slovenia
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

I was curious about this band after I read the promo description. And after I heard it, yes, I do agree. This band plays a good tribute to Death Metal. It has melody, but also the Death Metal brutality/cadence of the 90s’. A very interesting release, very pleasing to listen to, not boring at all, and good songs. Good job was made by the persons behind the band. Listen to them.

Band: Firtan
Title: Marter
Label: Art Of Propaganda Records
Release date: 30 September 2022
Country: Germany
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

To start, No need to introduce this band. The music released until today speaks for itself. But if you don’t know the band… Well… I only can say that you are losing a very good band, releasing a very good Pagan Black Metal music style. The songs are amazing, the riffs, the way my foot and head were moving while listening to this album… Tchhh. Very good.

Band: In Grief
Title: An Eternity of Misery
Label: Iron Bonehead Productions
Release date: 02 September 2022
Country: Italy
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

And another release paying a very good tribute to the 90s’ Death Doom Metal. In the last 2 or 3 years, several bands are appearing playing this music style and many people are listening again this music style. This will be the next metal “hipster” moment/style in metal??? Hope not to be honest. Anyway… Moving forward. The band is releasing now the first album and is very melancholic, reminds me a bit of the My Dying Bride violin era, old Paradise Lost, or old Anathema. A very good surprise. Check them.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
