Hello there,

The year started and it looks like that was yesterday and today is already day 21 of January… Really? Already passed those days? If time is running I should be running too and have less weight. Well, doing sport helps to get less weight… But I’m starting to look like a big pumpkin. Ahahahahahahah. Silly thoughts… Anyway…

Check my recos…

Band: Devil’s Whiskey

First impression after listening to this album. Can you imagine Sólstafir mixed with Down or Corrosion of Conformity and some Type O Negative touches here and there? Yes, that is what it sounds to me. The less heavy or melancholic parts are the Sólstafir side and the more heavy or dragged parts are the Down or Corrosion of Conformity side, the Type O Negative is more related to some singing parts and some riffs. The album is not a masterpiece I have to admit, but is good listening, and if you want to listen to something with feeling and dedication… Check this band.

Band: Dying Light
Title: Shallow Grave

Press the play and you will listen to… Well, a very simple but catchy metal. Stays very well inside your head, not heavy, but good. In fact when I was listening to this band two very good bands came to my head, Stone Temple Pilots and Galactic Cowboys. The mix of Rock and the Metal part is well done and I think you should, try at least to listen to this band and enjoy good music.

Band: Høstsol
Title: Länge Leve Döden
Label: The Sinister Initiative / Avantgarde Music
Release date: 13 January 2023
Country: Norway / Finland / Sweden

When some well-known names in Black Metal join forces to do another band or project, many times is expected to be a masterpiece or something outstanding, sometimes it doesn’t happen, sometimes it does, and sometimes is just a good or a traditional album. The same for any other style. In this case, the 4 persons behind it, made a very good Black Metal album. Very well-balanced, well-structured, fast, melodic, melancholic, raw in attitude and in sound/production balanced, songs are good, frost, the voice is very good, and many many many more good things to be honest. You must listen to this album.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
