Hello there,

And we arrived in February… January passed so damn fast… At least to me. If January was a promising month related to new releases in all music styles, February in my opinion will be stronger too. So let me start…

Check my recos…

Band: Ad Omega
Title: Aphelic Ascent
Label: Drakkar Productions
Release date: 10 February 2023
Country: Italy / Sweden
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

Originally the band started in 2019 as a one-man-band in Italy at the hand of Noktvrnal, in 2020 Vindur from Sweden joined the band. That is why I said “Country: Italy / Sweden”. Releasing good music since the beginning, I mean since 2019, this band release the second album, this time via Drakkar Productions from France and if you liked the previous releases you will really like this album too, well, if you already know the band, if not, well, it’s time know them and enjoy a good Black Metal album.

Band: Deviser
Title: Evil Summons Evil
Label: Hammerheart Records
Release date: 10 February 2023
Country: Greece
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

When I got the promo I thought “Ohhhh, they still exist”. Why did I think that? Well, the latest album was in 2011 and after that, an EP was released in 2017, I lost the info about the singles released last year, so I was surprised and at the same time excited to listen to them again. Many people in my opinion don’t give the exact attention to this band and the band never had the chance to “grow” inside the underground. Well, in my opinion (even if they use keys in the albums and sometimes they can be a bit Symphonic), you should pay attention to them. It’s not a superb band or a majestic one, I have to say, but they are good and the albums released till now are good. Hope with this label now the band can grow more. Chem them.

Band: Funeral Winds
Title: The Fires of Heaven
Label: Osmose Productions
Release date: 24 February 2023
Country: Netherlands
Format reviewed: High-quality Digital Recording

This band I have been following almost since the beginning, I think the first release I heard was the EP “Thy Eternal Flame” or was the split with Abigail from Japan released in 1995? Hmmm… I don’t remember to be honest, I know I manage to get one of them and after the other. Anyway, my memory is not the same as when I was a young boy. Ahahahahahahahah. Moving forward… This album is released via Osmose Productions and it’s damn good. I really enjoyed listening to and Hellchrist Xul the only member at this moment, did a damn good job. Check it.

Don’t forget to support the bands and labels.
