With regular contributor Julia Katrin literally out at sea, it’s down to Tom Osman to hold down the fort this week.

So, let’s see what’s out there…

INFERNO 6-9 April 2023 will see Inferno Metal Festival Norway take place in Oslo. The line up includes big names in extreme metal, such as Emperor and Cannibal Corpse, while also showcasing plenty of lesser known talents. Prophecy Productions have a number of their bands on the bill: Dold Vorde Ens Navn, Arcturus, Dordeduh and Vemod. Tickets are available here

NEUROT RECORDINGS continue their regular pay what you can series with Music For Megaliths by Harvestman available to download here from the label’s bandcamp page. An experimental project of Steve von Till (Neurosis), you can pick up a copy this week for whatever you’ve got to give.

HPGD USA’s Horror Pain Gore Death label is on Discogs and they’ve got a ton of items they’re promoting at special prices. You can check out what they’ve got in stock here with new items being regularly added.

Black Lion Records are currently offering 50% off on many items till the end of April with checkout code spring50 + name your price on digital. See what’s on offer here.

LAVA INVOCATOR Satanath Records have teamed up with The Ritual Productions to put out Signs of Apocalypse by Lava Invocator. You can listen to the preview track here for some pulverising black metal. The album, due out on the 20th of April, is available on a limited CD run and there are some bundle offers too. Check them all out on the link above.

KEN MODE If you enjoyed KEN Mode’s excellent recent release NULL you might like to check out their 2011 offering Venerable now available on limited gold vinyl here. Unfortunately it’s only available for shoppers in North America. If that applies to you, take advantage of the opportunity for some powerful sludge metal. If not, you can just enjoy listening online to the sound of the earth being punched into dust.

TODAY IS THE DAY One of a kind extreme metal veterans Today Is The Day have a selection of limited printed t-shirts available from their bandcamp page, including their delightful Live in Japan design featuring the message “we’re all on acid and we’ve got more”. Duly noted. Check them all out here.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
