#BAZUndergroundUpdates CLVI

So close to Easter aren’t we? We do hope that wherever you are the sun is rising higher and bringing better temperature and less cold…and what better way to enjoy even further but to glance over this week´s Underground Updates and find metal goodness to brighten up your day?

So, let’s see what’s out there…

PORTRAYAL OF GUILT Following up two albums in 2021 by releasing Devil Music later in April, extreme metal Texan three-piece Portrayal of Guilt has made available to us a short film which you can watch over here. The film is soundtracked by the second-half of the forthcoming release — which reworks the release’s first half, incorporating classical instrumentation. Of course afterwards you can head right over here for the record itself!

NEUROT RECORDINGS Another album has been picked! As we need music to get us through the week, Neurot Recordings continues to offer the weekly Pay What You Can segment, and this week it’s Grievanceby Kowloon Walled City! Head over here to claim your copy and simply pay what you can!

BLACK LION RECORDS The clearance sale over at Black Lion Records is still in full motion, where you can save 50% off and the end of the month! Head over here to check out the selection and remember to use the code spring50!

ABYSMAL GRIEF Genoan occult metal band Abysmal Grief has teamed up with Italy’s Avantgarde Music to release Despise The Living, Desecrate The Dead — a collection of outtakes and unused material from 2016 – 2021. You can listen to a preview track here, where you can order a limited vinyl copy.

SUFFERING QUOTA When your mode of expression is grindcore, there’s no need to mention that the music is going to be extreme. So expect a succession of rapid heavy blows from Suffering Quota and their forthcoming record Collide — due for release on May 26th via 7 Degrees Records. You can pre-order the album on a range of limited editions here, while there are two preview tracks available here.

ESOCTRILIHUM Italy’s I, Voidhanger Records have announced the forthcoming release of an ambitious triple album by French black/death metal group Esoctrilihum. Astraal Constellations of the Majickal Zodiac is available for pre-order on triple CD or extremely limited triple vinyl, with the album due for release on May 12th. You can read all about the Lovecraftian mythology behind the release here, where you can also listen to preview tracks and pre-order the album.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
