#BAZUndergroundUpdates CLX

3 min read

Still around each week like clockwork after all this time, and our writers Julia Katrin and Tom Osman always manage to figure out a fitting and witty intro to The Underground Updates!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

NON SERVIAM A brand new video/single has now available from our friends in Non Serviam titled Apocalyptic Lust, taken from their upcoming album Death Ataraxia scheduled for a release on the 2nd of June via Trepanation Recordings! Head over here to check it out!

SOLAR TEMPLE The full album The Great Star Above Provides by Solar Temple has now been made available in its entirety right over here, much to our enjoyment, on Eisenwald´s YouTube channel. The album was released just last Friday via Eisenwald, and so you can find all other information right over here!

NEUROT RECORDINGS One of our favourites continues, much to our pleasure! Neurot Recordings has this week’s album pick ready for the Pay What You Can segment, and this week it’s A Grave is A Grim Horse by the one and only Steve Von Till! Head over here to claim your copy and simply pay what you want!

DEFILED For a tasty bite of Japanese death metal head over to bandcamp where Season of Mist have just released The Highest Level, the latest album by Defiled. There are multiple vinyl editions as well as CDs you can purchase there — alongside some t-shirts.

ORPHALIS Modelling themselves on bands like Benighted and Aborted, Orphalis are a German technical/ brutal death metal group from Germany. Their forthcoming album As the Ashes Settle has just been announced on Transcending Obscurity Records for July 25. You can listen to preview tracks here, preorder the album and get a whole bunch of merch while you’re at it.

ORDER OF DECAY For some brutally slow and heavy death/ doom metal check out the preview track from Mortification Rites by Scottish group Order of Decay available now to pre-order from Sentient Ruin Laboratories. The album will be released on June 2 and there are vinyl, CD and cassette versions available in the meantime.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.

May has rolled around, and so now it’s safe to say that summer is absolutely just around the corner! So change out those studded tires, rip out your shorts and of course don’t forget the sunscreen when you head out to the summer’s festivals and concerts!
