#BAZUndergroundUpdates CLXI

3 min read

Well, after last week’s Underground Updates didn’t go out to you guys due to an update on Blessed Altar Zine´s webpage, let us not wait any longer with a brand new one!

So, let’s see what’s out there…

THE CALLOUS DAOBOYS The tickets for The Callous Daoboys Euro Tour 2023 went on sale last Friday, so should you find yourself with some free time and if you are totally in them, keep your peepers peeled for those dates and tickets!

WALLOWER Kicking off just last week, Wallowing has begun their Earth Reaper UK album release tour with support from Still! Tickets are now available right over here, and of course the album itself is now available via Church Road Records through Bandcamp!

IMMORTAL FROST PRODUCTIONS Once again the summer festival season is just around the corner, and this year Immortal Frost Productions will be present with their merch stand at 11 festivals across Europe! Should you find yourselves at one of the 11, make sure to keep an eye on their stand and for more info visit the label´s webpage right over here!

D ROTT Including members of Ulver and Enslaved, Drott return with their latest album Troll (out on the 19th of May on By Norse Music) which does a fine job of putting the listener in a dark, dank forest in the Norwegian north — one inhabited by (yes you guessed it) a troll. A certain kind of progressive rock, with touches of industrial metal and dark electro, this mostly instrumental release wouldn’t be so out of place soundtracking a fantasy-horror movie. Check out the preview tracks here and visit the label’s webstore to order a copy.

YAKUZA Returning with their first studio album in over a decade, Sutra is the latest release from avant-garde metal genre hoppers Yakuza. Released on the 19th of May on Svart Records Sutra blends sludge metal, hardcore, jazz and more into a form that probably only Yakuza can create. Check out the preview tracks and pre-order here, or go straight to the label’s webstore for international shipping.

Having to pay gigantic sums for international postage is a real gear grinder.

While it’s our default setting to link Bandcamp pages in the case of new and pre-releases, we thought it would be helpful to add some online stores that might provide a useful alternative.

So if you see a release you fancy, but it’s being sold in a far off land and you don’t want to fork out on exorbitant shipping, see if any of the links below can remedy the situation.
